Former Philippine President - Corazon Cojuangco-Aquino joined her Creator a day before, but it was only this day that I was able to do something to show my deepest sympathies. Her death wasn't just a loss for her family, but of the entire nation, as she has been a symbol of democracy and hope for the Filipinos when she bravely fought a former dictator.
She will be forever missed. Rest in peace, madam President.

I wasn't that inspired for Day 213, maybe because I just got home from a very tiring trip from Vigan City and I felt that I wasn't able to get enough sleep. The day was about to end when I realized that I still haven't taken a picture for this day.
This was my sister's watch. As I placed my glass of water in the center table, I saw her watched - and was reminded to take a picture, so I wore it and took a picture. I don't know why I was so lax, I guess I just need a little break from monotony and I just need an inspiration.

Like I used to do, I went to my favorite place - Vigan City - before coming home from La Union. I have been here oh so many times, but I still found quite a lot of "firsts" for this trip, among which was the chance to travel alone in Vigan, and experiencing my very first rain.
The rain did make me a bit gloomy - especially that I was alone, no one to talk to and to let out my rants. But still, it was a great day for me. I will always love Vigan City.

The minute I arrived in our house in La Union a few days ago, my Aunt said that cousin Mai has passed the Nursing Board Exams. Because of it, Aunt asked if I want to go with them as they offer a thanksgiving prayer. It has been a year since I last went to Manaoag, so I decided to stay and go with them, after all, Aunt will shoulder it all. =)
I already have taken pictures of Manaoag Church, so I didn't take much this time, although I took some shots in sepia. I think this one turned out good.

Like the day before, I also didn't have a definite plan for Day 210, so earlier in the day, I took some pictures of my aunt's orchids. I love taking pictures of flowers, but I don't know why I suck in taking pictures of orchids! I guess I have to devote more of my time practicing on orchids.
I went to the nearby beach on this day, too, but I chose this as my photo for the day for I was very intrigued by the black background in this. My aunt's orchids were outside, and it was a sunny day that day, yet when I took this, it had black backgrounds. So weird!

I still don't know what to do on Day 209, so I just stayed at home, did my laundry and listened to the radio. While waiting for my rice to cook, I stood by the kitchen doorway and something caught my eye: this not-so-little ant. It's twice or thrice the size of a typical red ant, and it looked so cute carrying a cut up dried leaf, so I hurriedly took my camera to take pictures. This ant moves quickly, so imagine my happiness when I was able to freeze him for this shot.

After the Conference, I took the bus from Baguio City going to my father's hometown in Bacnotan, La Union. No special reason for me to be there, I just want to go there after the conference. Morning of Day 208, I went to Forest Lake en Cielo to visit my father's grave. Typically, whenever I am in La Union, I would visit daddy's grave a day before I leave, but this time I visited his grave earlier.
It was a great time speaking to him again. No more heavy heart for me.

It was the last day of the conference, and before we went to the conference site, we decided to take pictures first, and I think it has been a tradition for everyone to take jump shots whenever they gather in groups and take pictures.
This was taken just outside Brentwood Village, where we stayed at for three days. I volunteered to take their picture for this shot, as I am not really good in jumping pictures myself. This was a nice picture, but yes, we could've done a good blocking here, so all the people in the image can be seen.

Day 2 of the Singles for Christ Metro Manila Conference, and we found ourselves in the main building... thank God! Happy, too, that we were able to sit by the third row, making us closer to the stage - and me closer to the subjects for photography.
Like yesterday, the conference started with a Holy Eucharist, this time officiated by Fr. Norlan Julia, SJ. The homily and the message of the mass revolves around "The Devil Wears Prada," in the sense that the devil has now evolved and is now wearing Prada, a representation of all things lavish and posh.
Come to think of it, they say if we want to see Jesus Christ, we have to look at our brothers and sisters. If we want to see the devil, we have to look at them as well. It just goes to show people - including us, has the tendency to be good and bad.

Arriving in Baguio City on Day 205 for the Singles for Christ Metro Manila Conference. On Day 1 of the conference, there was a competition - SFCs Got Talent, and the dance group from our chapter have won second place. It was a great honor for us to be their chapter-mates.
Congrats, guys!

On Day 204, I was very busy packing my stuffs. 11PM, I have to be at the church where a bus awaits all of us as we go on our way to Baguio City for the 2009 SFC Metro Manila Conference. I was so busy, the only picture I took was that of this lanzones fruit that our neighbor sent us. They have a lanzones tree and is now bearing fruits, so I took a picture of it. Delicious!

On Day 203, the sun shone good on me. I found a good subject to take a picture of, and at first I won't be able to see it, but I guess the heavens have heard my plea, and although it's already late, I could still say "I was able to see it."
They said the eclipse would come at around 8:30AM, but the clouds were heavy that time. I tried checking the sky every now and then, and at around 11AM, the clouds were vanishing, giving me a nice show! I used my sister's pair of sunglasses, put it over my camera's lens and took the pictures. Oh nice!

And the mojo flew to faraway land without leaving an address. This is really the worst picture I have ever taken, so no more explanations about this one - I just hope Tarzan would save me from this pit.

On Day 201, I am still struggling to find my missing mojo. When I walked to the bathroom, I saw this tape measure by the rack and thought I'd imitate this picture showed to me by friend Ecko ages back, but as you can see, I really was struggling! I don't know how to present the tape measure and this really has no composition whatsoever. Ugh, mojo.. get back!

Mom, Sis, and I heard mass at the nearby chapel on Day 200 and decided to go to the mall afterwards. The communion part is oftentimes the longest part of the mass especially when there were many people who wanted to take communion, and when sister went back to her seat after saying her prayers and while we were waiting for the rest of the people to finish, sister took out her cell phone and started composing a message for her significant other.
Uh huh... not a good example.
But then again I am using my camera, too! =)

Rains, rains, and nothing but rains. I have lost my photo mojo and I can't think of something to take a picture of... when I went out and saw this bird by the electric cable trying to wiggle off the rains that has covered its body. A part of me is in awe of the bird, but most parts of me admired the bird - when the rain comes, people would just wallow and succumb to the trials, yet this bird tried to just shake of the rain and move on with life.
Another life lesson learned from a bird.

I don't normally eat breakfast; at most times I would just eat breakfast and lunch together, but on Day 198, I woke up really hungry... and seeing our chiller only has 1 hotdog and 1 slice of sweet ham (oh yes!), I decided to dice it all up and make myself a bowl of fried rice! I also added an egg to it, and I have a one-dish meal that satisfied my tummy!

I remember one time in 2008, I fired the flash to take a macro shot of a lantana flower, and although it wasn't a really nice picture, one person in Flickr still appreciated it. On Day 197, I was out late to take my photo for the day, and seeing one of our plants bloomed some flowers, I hoped to take a picture of it.
However, it was already dark and even if I up the ISO on my camera, I still can't get it right, so I tried using the flash. It was hard to focus on a macro subject at night time, and although a lot of shots were put to trash, I think this one looks a lot nicer. I still am having a hard time taking night macro with flash, but I think I am getting the hang of it.

I met up with a new friend, who was so kind to meet me in SM Fairview because I was limping today, after I tripped from one of my sister's shoe. We basically killed time in Starbucks where we discussed matters about certain things, then at past ten, we decided to eat dinner. He parked his car by the side entrance, and as we walked the halls of then closed mall - we saw this. I am not sure what the construction men were doing, but I guess the mall was going on some renovations.
Just like this picture, this blog is also going under renovation. I just noticed that the header image suddenly went missing, and I think it's time for me to change blog skins.

My baby kitty Juno has been my bed mate since he was born. He's basically just like my own child, only that he's a cat, of course. Anyway, whenever he's asleep, he would always sleep on his back, oftentimes with his foot up in the air. When I saw him like that and realized I still haven't taken my picture for the day, I grabbed my camera and took pictures.
He's such a cutie.

Because the walls of our house is colored cream, our curtains and throw pillow cases were always of orange/rust/brown color. So when mom changed the throw pillows into red colored cases, I went to take a picture of it.
Yes, I know it wasn't wonderfully captured, this one was actually taken just minutes before I went to bed. You guessed it, mojo flew away again. =(

In October of 2007, I discovered this kind of photography called, "macro photography." Using my cell phone camera, I snapped pictures of insects and flowers, and before I knew it, I am already hooked.
Well, no drastic changes since then, but I am happy that I am growing. I am proud to say I have improved, but still I am learning. I guess this hobby is a never ending learning process, and I am so happy I have discovered it.

Phew! Another mojo-less day for me... I just went out of the house, set the cell phone camera on negative and took pictures. This was taken from our garden, and that's the house of our neighbor and family friend. Seeing this picture makes me wanna wish I have my own lomo camera.
Oh if only... =)

There was this food meme that I always join in every Friday, and in that meme, I decided to post food pictures that I personally cooked. So in my efforts to go back to that food meme, I cooked this carbonara - one of the easiest dish I can cook.
I used ham for this dish, although bacon is my most favorite meat for carbonara. Sprinkled with chili powder... delish!

Charmy has two pictures in my Project 365 while she was still pregnant. Now that she has given birth, of course I have to have a picture of her little bundle of joy. She gave birth on a Monday, but she came home Wednesday, and as soon as we heard she came home, mom and I immediately went to visit her. Her baby's so cute!

On Day 188, I saw my cat Orange-y taking comfort from his Uncle Paborito - he has been sick for a few days, having colds, and my big black cat Paborito's one heck of a sweet cat that he just lets his nephew rest on him. I guess cats are like people, too, when they get sick.

This is a product of my procrastination and lack of mojo. I was watching television when I realized I still haven't taken my picture for the day, so while the commercials were on, I shot this. I remembered that Adam Sandler picture - don't you just wish we all have remote controls so we can rewind past actions?
