Our neighbor's santan flowers are starting to bloom, so I went over to take pictures. They were all just buds so I don't know how to frame them, I just pointed my camera and shoot. It has been raining here every afternoon, making people feeling gloomy... seeing yellow flowers really makes me happy, and these little flowers certainly chased the gloomy wearies away. :)

I've never heard of such plant before. It's quite interesting. I agree that yellow is a very cheery color. Nice photo.
I had to check up on the name as I'd never heard of santan before - we call it Ixora here and I have grown it as a houseplant in the past and it is so pretty. So glad the yellow flowers cheered you up. :) Rosie
Ah! it's certainly called Ixora here in the west...they have a lot of species and it is so beautiful when they come in different colors. Isn't it?
Great shot...love the little raindrops on the leaves.
yellow is definitely cheery, would love to see it blooming...my flower was a coneflower (not that i knew that until Rosie visited my blog :)
Interesting flower. It's unique and beautiful.
Great shot. I do not know that flower but it is interesting.
I have never seen this flower before either, but I agree with you that yellow is a cheery colour! I really like the tiny buds hiding in the middle of the cluster - the ones that are perfectly in focus!!
